Sports Chat Place: Take the Pacers with the points vs. Suns
Randy Chambers writes: "The Phoenix Suns have been tough to bet against most nights, but they’re still banged up a bit, and they’re not covering numbers at the rate they have in the past. The Indiana Pacers are awful in terms of winning, but 13-9-1 against the spread at home, and they only lose in the underdog role by an average of 1.8 points. The Suns should win, and this thing could be an ugly watch, but give me the Pacers and the points."
Picks and Parlays: Suns 111, Pacers 104
It writes: "Indiana has struggled of late in a big part due to injuries and illness. The Pacers have lost eight of the last nine straight up and are 5-4 ATS over that stretch. Phoenix is first in the Pacific division and coming off a victory over a red-hot Toronto squad that snapped the Raptors six-game winning streak. The Suns finally have all of their regulars active."
Stat Salt: Take the Suns vs. Pacers
Jason Raffoul writes: "Phoenix forward Cam Johnson (left ankle) was not available yesterday night after being injured in Saturday's loss to Miami. Landry Shamet returned after missing the past three games while in the health and safety protocols and should see some more action on Friday. The Suns are nowhere close to 100%, but they are far healthier than a Pacers team missing three starters. Malcolm Brogdon, Caris LeVert, and T.J. Warren returned for Indiana’s last game but they are still without four depth players. While one or all may play, the pick here is the Suns. Phoenix will have no issues handling Indiana’s skeleton crew lineup. Take Phoenix to win and cover on the road."
Winners and Whiners: Go with the Suns vs. Pacers
Chris King writes: "Indiana is struggling mightily of late with eight losses in their last nine games. If it wasn’t for the struggles that the Pistons have had this season, the Pacers would be buried in the basement of the Central Division. Meanwhile, they have to face a Phoenix team that entered Thursday with the top record in the league and who has a ton of depth to work with in their rotation. The Pacers could be minus Brogdon and Duarte again here, which would take out a pair of their top scoring options. Dealing with a Phoenix team that is more than competent on both ends of the floor is going to be too much for Indiana to handle here. Look for the Suns to rise again as they deal the Pacers a defeat in this contest."
Fansided: Suns 111, Pacers 103
Nicolas Kyle Pring writes: "It is fairly difficult to bank on the Pacers to get a bounce-back win even at home, as the Suns simply boast too much firepower on offense and stability on defense for Indiana to get much edge going for them on the onset. Phoenix has also been the most consistent team in the league so far, even touting the league’s second-best record on the road. With the Suns essentially being a nightmare matchup for the Pacers, look for Phoenix to ride a solid all-around game for a wire-to-wire victory, sending Indiana packing as the need for roster changes loom bigger by the day."
Odds Shark: Suns 113.6, Pacers 106.6
The site predicts that Phoenix will win, cover the spread and that the total will go over in the game vs. Indiana.
Capper's picks: Suns 120, Pacers 105
It writes: "At this point, I just think that the Pacers are a beaten team and it is showing in the way they play. I do not give them much of a shot at being all that competitive against a very talented and well-coached Suns team. Not only has Phoenix been good in terms of wins and losses, they have also been good at covering. I like them laying the 6 here because I do not feel that Indy has the personnel ready to stop their offense."
Play Picks: Take the Pacers with the points in game vs. Suns
It writes: "The Pacers are yet to lose ATS (5-0) as a 5.5-point underdog or greater this season."
